Lil Baby Requests Casino Ban After Losing $8M in a Single Day

Lil Baby, the acclaimed rapper behind the 2020 quadruple-platinum album My Turn, recently revealed a staggering gambling loss of $8 to $9 million in a single session. The disclosure came during his appearance on Lil Yachty’s A Safe Place podcast on December 18, where he detailed the 40-hour spree that led to the massive loss.

The 30-year-old artist, born Dominique Armani Jones, admitted that his gambling habit spiraled out of control, prompting him to take drastic action. With support from his friend Michael Rubin, CEO of Fanatics, Lil Baby requested to be banned from all casinos to curb his behavior. “I made myself stop gambling,” he explained. “I had Mike Rubin write a letter to every casino and ban me from the casino.”

Fellow rapper 50 Cent reacted to the revelation on Instagram, humorously likening the loss to something Floyd Mayweather might do and expressing relief that Lil Baby didn’t resort to violence in his distress.

Lil Baby has since shifted his focus back to music, announcing his fourth solo album, WHAM (Who Hard as Me), set for release on January 3. The album features collaborations with prominent artists like Future, Young Thug, Travis Scott, and 21 Savage.

The announcement follows a turbulent year for the rapper, including an arrest in Las Vegas in August for allegedly carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. His attorneys maintain that he possesses a valid Georgia Carrying a Concealed Weapon permit and are investigating the incident.

Despite these challenges, Lil Baby continues to command attention in both his personal and professional life, demonstrating resilience in the face of adversity.
