Speaking out about a new verse he says he got from 21 Savage, Lil Baby is not holding back at all. He says it might be the rapper’s “hardest verse ever.”
The rapper from “My Turn” told everyone on X on November 16 with a short, to-the-point post.
He wrote, “I think I got @21savage hardest verse ever,” and then he added a bunch of emojis.Yesterday, Lil Baby promised a big comeback after going through the “darkest period” of his life. Today, he kept his word.
The Atlanta rap star got fans excited on November 13 by sharing a sneak peek of his soon-to-be-released record WHAM (Who Hard As Me), which seemed to imply that he was about to go on an epic run.
“Isn’t it crazy how they’re trying to play me like I’m not the one!” He wrote on Instagram, “It’s That Time!” “I’ll say it again, but this run will be very different!!”
“The last two years have been the worst of my life, but I stayed down and got through it.” Now I’m back to fuckin’ shit up like always… Sincerely, Wham!! Who Is As Hard As Me? “Let’s go.”
A lot of fans and other artists loved the song clip. 50 Cent commented, “[face with steam emoji] This is Hard [applause emojis] quit fucking around come on!”
Swizz Beatz added, “Let’s go King, it’s that time [raised hands emojis] [fire emojis],” and Gillie Da Kid agreed with him using emojis. As soon as 50 told Lil Baby to follow his advice, he released the full song called “5AM” along with a music video four hours later.
The heavy-bottomed track, which was produced by Wheezy and Sean Momberger, shows the 4PF lead singer defiantly avoiding many problems, such as friends and lovers who aren’t loyal and the police who are after him and want to “connect [him] to dumb shit.”
At the end of the short but sweet song, Wham raps, “Even my mama be asking me where is the album, we want it/ Had to get on my business and tighten my mental, I’m coming.” This is another sign that his new album is on the way.
