Diddy Scheduled for Court Hearing Regarding His Latest Bail Package

Diddy’s lawyers have a few days to make an objection.

That was last weekend when Diddy and his lawyer filed a new request for yet another bail package. So far, every time they’ve tried to set the music mogul free, they’ve failed horribly. He is still being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC), and if he is found guilty, he will spend the rest of his life in prison. Despite this, his lawyers are still hopeful, especially about this newest and best bail offer. It’s like the others in that it has a $50 million bond and is constantly watched to make sure there are no problems or complaints.

This case is different, though, because Diddy’s defense used examples of similar cases from the past. One was a case of sex trafficking involving a CEO who was being threatened by witnesses. The alleged victims were younger guys. A bail package was also sent, which included a $10 million bond for the CEO and a $500K bond for the person who is thought to be working with him. In that case, the amount of money is obviously much smaller, but Diddy’s team says the main idea is the same. Now that you know the history, let’s talk about an important update. According to Meghann Cuniff, she has learned that the bail meeting is set and will happen soon. It will happen on November 22, 2012, at 2 p.m. in Manhattan. So, prosecutors have until this coming Friday, November 15, to send in their papers that help their case against it. If you want to see the tweet with the papers, click the link below.

In general, it’s another big moment for Diddy, and it could help the case in a good way. It’s clear that the odds are against him. In the past, the court thought he was likely to run away, so they wouldn’t let him out on bond. Those words will probably be said again, but only time will tell.
