Lil Durk is accused by prosecutors of singing about Lul Pab’s death.
Late last month, Lil Durk was caught in Florida and charged with planning to kill someone for money. The Chicago rapper was arrested soon after five people who were thought to be OTF members were. The police think they were hired to kill Quando Rondo to get back at the people who killed King Von. Quando Rondo and his cousin Lul Pab were shot and killed at a Los Angeles gas station in 2022. Lul Pab’s wounds were deadly, but Quando Rondo was not hurt.
A new accusation with two new charges against Durk was released yesterday (November 9), according to Billboard. One count of murder for hire and a guns count are among the charges. In the indictment, the prosecutors also use song lyrics by Durk that they say directly talk about the death of Lul Pab.
“After attempting to kill [Rondo] and killing [Lul Pab], defendant Banks tried to make money off of [Lul Pab’s death] by rapping about getting revenge on [Rondo],” they say. They also say that Durk used a news clip from after the shooting as inspiration for his song “Wonderful Wayne & Jackie Boy” Babyface Ray. Durk raps in the song, “Told me they got an address (go, go)/ Got location (go, go)/ Green light (go, go, go, go, go)” “Watch the news and see your son yelling, ‘No, no!'” But now, DJ Bandz is standing up for Durk.
