Even though Diddy is still in jail, he is facing more cases. The most recent ones include claims that he sexually assaulted a 10-year-old boy.
Variety says that well-known lawyers Tony Buzbee in Houston and Andrew Van Arsdale in California filed lawsuits on Monday (October 28) on behalf of several clients.
One, John Doe, says Diddy (real name Sean Combs), drugged and raped him in a New York City hotel during an interview in 2005 when he was only 10 years old.
Doe’s lawsuit says that a consultant his parents hired took him to a hotel room and left him alone with Combs. He was also given a soda that Doe thinks was laced with drugs.
The suit says, “Plaintiff drank his soda and started to feel its effects. Combs then told plaintiff to move closer to him, which plaintiff did.” Combs then pulled complainant down quickly and said something like, “Sometimes you have to do things you don’t want to do.” Combs pulled his penis out of his pants and told the 10-year-old plaintiff to “kiss it” after plaintiff had pushed plaintiff down.
“When plaintiff resisted, Combs still forced his penis into plaintiff’s mouth and pushed it in and out over and over again.”
The suit says he passed out during the event and woke up in pain with his pants undone. After that, he told his parents, who were “terrified of the possible consequences of reporting the abuse.” Because of this, Doe says he has severe anxiety and depression and had to be homeschooled later.
In a letter to HipHopDX, Diddy’s lawyers denied the claims.
“It’s clear that the lawyer behind this lawsuit cares more about getting press attention than telling the truthβhis constant press appearances and 1-800 number make that clear,” they wrote. “We’ve already said that Mr. Combs can’t respond to every new publicity stunt, not even to claims that are obviously false or silly.”
“Mr. Combs and his lawyers have full faith in the facts and the fairness of the court system.” The truth will win in court: Mr. Combs never sexually abused or trafficked anyone, man or woman, child or adult.
The new lawsuits come just a few days after Diddy got a small win in his fight to get out of jail. His bail appeal was put on hold while he waits for a new hearing in U.S. District Court.
The mogul got the bad news on Thursday, October 24, when the order was made public.
The week before, independent reporter Meghann Cuniff shared updates on how things were going. Around the same time, the request was granted, even though officials were against it.
“The 2nd Circuit has been told that prosecutors are against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ bail appeal,” she wrote on X. “Combs doesn’t take into account at all the serious and violent charges against him or the strength of the evidence against him when he says Judge Carter made a mistake.”However, Combs’ lawyers want the appeal to be put on hold while they try to get a new bail hearing in U.S. District Court, Cuniff said in a second tweet.
“The request has been made again because of new information that calls for a new bail hearing, which the district court should handle first.”
Diddy is currently in jail while he waits to be tried for sex trafficking, crime, and transporting people to work as prostitutes.
Federal prosecutors have accused the 54-year-old of forcing women to have sex with male prostitutes for his pleasure, as well as running a criminal business that engaged in kidnapping, arson and bribery, among other crimes, for over a decade.
