Lil Durk, who made the song “All My Life,” went to jail because he was accused of killing Quando Rondo’s cousin Lul Pab in a failed hit on Rondo. Durk was caught killing someone for money on Thursday night, October 24, in Broward County, Florida. Some of King Von’s friends are in the Chicago-based rap group OTF (Only The Family), which Durk helped to start and now leads.

After Von was killed in a shootout with Quando Rondo’s crew in 2020, the police said Durk ordered Rondo’s death, which led to another shooting in 2022. Von was killed in a shootout with Quando Rondo’s group in 2020. The police then said Durk gave the order to kill Rondo, which led to another shooting in 2022. Those charged with federal crimes, including the rapper, could spend the rest of their lives in federal prison if they are found guilty. Five other people are also charged in the case.

Timothy “Lul Tim” Leeks, a friend of Rondo’s, was charged with killing Von, but the charges were dropped in 2023. From what the lawsuit says, Durk put a bounty on Rondo’s head to get back at him for killing Von. People from O.T.F. followed Quando Rondo, his sister, and his cousin around a gas station near Beverly Center Mall in L.A. on August 19 and shot at their car.

Saviay’a Robinson, also known as Lul Pab, was Rondo’s cousin and died in the killing. The lawsuit says that Lil Durk gave the order to hit Rondo. It was said that one of Durk’s close friends planned the attack and bought tickets for five of the people involved to fly from Chicago to California the day before the shooting.

The accusation says that Kavon London Grant, also known as Vonnie, paid for the attackers’ ski masks and hotel rooms with a credit card that was registered in Lil Durk’s name. Grant and five other people charged in a four-count federal grand jury indictment were taken on Thursday morning.

Besides conspiracy, Grant and the other five defendants were each charged with one count of using interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death, as well as using, carrying, and firing firearms and a machine gun and having these weapons in order to commit a violent crime resulting in death. One of the people was also charged with having a machine gun.

A press statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California on Friday, October 25, says that Lil Durk and the other five defendants will get up to life in federal prison if they are found guilty of their federal charges. It was said in the news release by US Attorney Martin Estrada:

“Mr. Banks is charged with orchestrating a cold-blooded murder that resulted in the death of a rival’s family member,” he said.

“On top of that, the shooting happened outside, at a gas station near a busy intersection, putting many people in the area in danger.” This kind of violent gun crime is terrible for our community, and we will not stand for people who do these heartless acts of violence.Lil Durk got a Grammy Award in February for Best Melodic Rap Performance for his 2023 hit “All My Life” with J. Cole. He is currently being held at Broward County Jail while he waits to be transferred to U.S. Marshals.
