Lil Durk allegedly was on his way to Italy when Shawn Setaro arrested him

Lil Durk is said to have booked three different international flights. He was about to board one of them when he was arrested and charged with murder for hire.

As part of the federal criminal complaint against the Chicago rapper, FBI Special Agent Sarah Corcoran swore out a statement. The rapper is currently being held at FDC Miami, according to records from the Bureau of Prisons.

There was an affidavit from Corcoran that said five people she said were part of Durk’s OTF crew were taken early Thursday morning (October 24) while federal agents “executed multiple search warrants in the Chicago area.”

“Soon after the arrests and searches were carried out,” she went on, “the FBI got notices from U.S. Customs and Border Protection that [Durk] had been booked as a passenger on two international flights: (i) a one-way flight from Miami to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, connecting through Doha, Qatar, leaving on October 24th evening; and (ii) a one-way flight from Fort Lauderdale to Switzerland, connecting through New Jersey, also leaving on October 24th evening.

She said, “I think that the UAE does not have a bilateral extradition treaty with the United States.” This made it sound like Durk was trying to get away from the police before they arrested him.

Agent Corcoran said that Durk didn’t get on either of those two planes. But “around 6:40 p.m. ET, the FBI received an additional CBP notification that [Durk] had been booked as a passenger on a private plane leaving Miami for Italy and scheduled to take off at approximately 9:00 p.m. ET.”

The agent said that Durk was caught an hour before the flight, “near the departing airport.”

Indeed, the OTF rapper was caught on a charge of murder for hire because he was thought to have helped plan to kill Quando Rondo to get revenge for King Von’s death.

The five other men Corcoan mentioned were caught on charges of murder for hire and murder for hire conspiracy in connection with the killing of Quando’s cousin Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson in 2022. They were said to be part of Durk’s OTF (Only the Family) group.

They are Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston. They are charged with Robinson’s murder in a new, unsealed indictment made in the U.S. Central District Court of California. In August 2022, they are said to have tried to kill Quando Rondo in Los Angeles but instead killed the rapper’s cousin, who was with him at the time.

Prosecutors say that the group followed orders from OTF and used their resources. For example, trips and rental cars were paid for with a credit card linked to the label.

Durk is accused of ordering the murder of Quando. The rapper is called “T.B.” in Corcoran’s statement, which is short for his real name, Tyquian Bowman. The agent said that “the hitmen used [Durk] and OTF-related finances to carry out the murder.”
