YNW Melly’s lawyer finally wins before his retrial for double πš–πšžπš›πšπšŽπš›

Raven Liberty, YNW Melly’s attorney, has at last convinced a judge to agree to handle 20 motions in the rapper’s retrial for an alleged double murder. As reported on NBC 6 South Florida, Tuesday was a status hearing in the matter conducted in court. Liberty utilized the chance to grumble about the “plethora of motions” she has been unsuccessfully trying to schedule hearings for over the past few months.

“I tried multiple times to arrange the remaining outstanding close to, 15-20 motions. Liberty told the judge we could not get state to agree with any dates and your office then advised us not to contact them unless the state agrees to dates.” To which Liberty responded, “I don’t think there’s any motion that I have filed that date goes past May. The prosecution added they have been getting confused by which motions are for which cases.” October arrived. They have had time to react.

The judge answered both parties, “I’ll give you dates and then whatever motions the defense wants me to hear, just file a notice of hearing… similarly say, if you have anything you want me to hear, you can file a notice of hearing for the same date and time and indicate here is the motion you want me to hear. And I’ll hear them. From there, both sides agreed to hearings to handle all the motions on January 6 and 7.
