The YSL RICO trial is still going on, and today Lil Durk’s ex-boyfriend SlimeLife Shawty took the stand. The rapper said that some people treat YSL like a gang when they were asked if it was a gang. After that, he said that he had treated it that way before.
He said, “Some people treat it like [a gang].” After that, SlimeLife Shawty was asked how he treats YSL in particular. The artist said, “I treated it [as a gang] before.” So when did he stop acting like it was a gang? He said he couldn’t remember. He also couldn’t say what he meant when he said YSL should be treated like a gang. “I don’t know, I never thought about that,” he stated.
Then, SlimeLife Shawty was asked what age he was when he joined YSL, the so-called “gang.” He then talked about how his music was becoming more and more popular. The YSL trial has had a lot more interesting events today than just this, though. A “Free Qua” hashtag was read out loud by SlimeLife Shawty at one point in court. The hashtag was covered up on the screen but not on the paper he was reading from. Meghann Cuniff says that Judge Paige Reese Whitaker is thinking about throwing out the case.
