Rod Wave debuts at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, while GloRilla scores her highest-charting album

This week, Rod Wave and GloRilla squared off on the Billboard 200. Both artists did very well.

Monday (October 21), Billboard announced that Rod’s seventh album had made it into the top ten. Last Lap, which debuted at No. 2 on the chart with 127k equivalent album units sold, was that record.

On the other hand, GloRilla’s album Glorious opened at No. 5 with 69k equivalent album units, making it her highest-charting album to date and her first top 10.

Last month, Rod Wave said on Instagram that Last Lap would be out on October 11, which was the same day that Glo’s first album was supposed to come out. This caused problems with the release dates for GloRilla and Rod Wave’s music.

What did the Memphis artist think of the fight? He wrote on his post, “WHY DF WOULD YOU DROP ON MY DAY I’M FINNA TWEAK OUT.”

Rod then posted a picture of himself and Glo in the studio together on Instagram Stories with the words “La twin drop same night.” This seemed to prove that he was not changing the date of his release.

Glorious is Glo’s best-selling project to date, so everything worked out in the end.

Rod’s first top ten song was “Last Lap.” He has also had four top ten songs and one top ten song. It comes after Nostalgia, which launched at the top of the Billboard 200 with about 137k album-equivalent units sold in its first week.

In other news, GloRilla and Saweetie’s long-awaited collaboration on “F.N.F.” has finally come, even though there was a lot of controversy over the remix.

The huge song from Glo and producer Hitkidd came out on Tuesday (October 15), with a new verse from the rapper from California.

Waseetie raps in her line, “Still eating cake/Wishin’ that a bitch would/Got my foot up on they necks like a bitch should.”

It was said that Glo and Saweetie were having a fight soon after the original “F.N.F.” remix came out in September 2022.

Reports say that the “Best Friend” rapper was meant to be on the remix, but she wasn’t on it when it came out.

Fans thought if the two artists were fighting, but GloRilla quickly put an end to the rumors.
