People who filed the case say that the music production company and security firms did not provide enough protection, which caused dangerous injuries.

Two unknown people are said to have opened fire on Lil Baby while he was filming a music video on Verbena Street in Atlanta on May 14, 2024. Kevin Mares, who was said to have worked on the tape, was hit in the neck during the incident. Mares is now fighting Lil Baby’s music company, Quality Control Music, LLC, and Shotclock LLC, the production company that was in charge of the shoot.

The lawsuit says that both production companies failed to provide enough protection for the music video shoot. It says the defendants “negligently failed to exercise reasonable care in the performance, training, and staffing of the specific security services required for an international recording artist production.”The case also names security companies Cannon Executive Protection Agency, LLC and Tactical Elite Protection Services, LLC, saying they hired other companies to do security work without permission and didn’t have enough trained staff. Even so, Lil Baby is not named in the suit.

Peter A. Law, Mares’ lawyer, also said that the suspects knew the area was dangerous because it has a history of violent crimes.The lawsuit says that the defendants “knew or should have known that a significant number of violent crimes were committed in the surrounding area.”Kevin Mares wants $680,000 to cover his medical bills because he is in pain, suffering, and can’t work as much as he used to. He also wants punitive damages because he says the people involved showed “a conscious indifference to consequences.”A video that came out online on May 14, 2024, said that at least three people were shot during the music video shoot for rapper Lil Baby in the Dixie Hills area of Atlanta. At the time of the story, the Georgia police did not confirm the exact number.

Online, some people said that shots were fired in the area where the killing was happening, according to eyewitnesses. A police report says that they ran to the scene after hearing gunshots. Atlanta Police Department says that officers talked to several witnesses at the spot. People who were there said that two unknown people got into a gunfight while QC Records employees were filming a video. It was also said that the two groups started shooting at each other.

When some witnesses were reportedly shot as well, things went crazy. It was said that rapper Lil Baby had nothing to do with it. Police are said to have taken several cars from the area as evidence.
