During his big hometown show, Lil Durk paid respect to some of the people he knew who had died. One of them was FBG Duck, whose mother recently sued Durk, saying the rapper was partly to blame for her son’s death in 2020.

On Sunday, October 20, Durk’s show took place at Chicago’s United Center. Lil Baby, Nardo Wick, JT, and other artists performed.

Durk’s collage of photos of the dead included FBG Duck, Juice WRLD, King Von, Lil Jojo, and other artists. Some people might be surprised that FBG Duck is on the list, since the late rapper’s mother, LaSheena Weekly, sued Durk, the estate of the late King Von, their OTF label, and related record companies and distributors earlier this month, saying they were in charge of her son’s death.

The lawsuit, which was filed on October 9 in Cook County, Illinois’s Circuit Court, talks about a claim that Von put a $100,000 reward on Duck’s head that was first made public in 2023. In the suit, Durk is also blamed for the alleged bounty because he signed Von to his OTF company. The suit says, “Lil Durk…planned, authorized, and took part in the bounty on FBG Duck’s life and permitted the violent acts King Von committed when he knew or should have known of King Von’s violent behavior and the violent histories of other known gang members he was affiliated with.”

“Lil Durk knew well before 2020 that King Von looked out for FBG Duck, wanted to rob and kill in the music business, and wanted to build a brand of violence and reality rap by hurting FBG Duck and other people in real life.”

King Von was killed in Atlanta in November 2020, not long after Duck was killed in Chicago. Six guys were found guilty of killing FBG Duck in January 2024. All of them are also being sued.

The lawsuit says that OTF is “a hub for the O-Block criminal enterprise and street gang” and “the media outpost of the O-Block criminal organization.”
