Kendrick Lamar dominated the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards with record-breaking wins

Kendrick Lamar continued to show that he is the best rap artist by winning a record-setting amount of awards at the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards.Kendrick got eight awards out of 11 nominations, which is the most accolades won in a single night in the history of the awards.

The Compton rap star won three awards, all for his hit hate track “Not Like Us” against Drake. It won Song of the Year, Best Hip Hop Video, and Impact Track.

The song “Like That” by Kendrick Lamar, Future, and Metro Boomin, which started his famous fight with Drake, won Best Collaboration. His fiery verse on the number one hit also won Best Featured Verse.

The founder of pgLang was also named Hip Hop Artist of the Year, beating out Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Future. He was also named Lyricist of the Year and Video Director of the Year with “little homie” Dave Free.

One award Lamar didn’t get was Album of the Year, which went to Nicki Minaj for her new album Pink Friday 2.

The first woman rapper, Young Money MC, to win the award. To celebrate, she posted a clip from the movie Child’s Play on social media.It was also a good night for 50 Cent, who won Hustler of the Year.

On Instagram, he replied, “First and foremost I’d like to thank God. For making me struggle, it’s making me great now.” With a big “cash” icon, let’s get it.

Future and Metro Boomin won the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards for Best Duo or Group. Sexyy Red won for Best Breakthrough Hip Hop Artist, The Alchemist won for Producer of the Year and DJ of the Year, and Missy Elliott won for Best Live Performer.

Megan Thee Stallion didn’t win anything, even though she had 12 nominations, which was more than any other act.

Travis Scott also won the I Am Hip Hop award, and he was there to accept it in person.
