Diddy makes unexpected return to social media for this reason

There was a big surprise when Diddy came back to social media this week from jail. He made sure to wish his smallest child a happy birthday.

Love Combs, the troubled mogul’s daughter, turned two on October 15. He posted on Instagram for the first time in almost three months, even though he is in the Special Housing Unit at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, which is separate from the rest of the prison.

“Happy birthday!” Have a wonderful birthday! Have a great birthday, love! Have a great birthday! [heart face] “Sean, happy birthday! Your dad loves you!” What the caption said.Diddy has been in jail at MDC Brooklyn since September 17, when he was charged with racketeering plot, sex trafficking, and transporting someone to do prostitution.

He will stay there until the trial starts because he is a “danger” to the community and has been rejected bail twice already.

Judge Arun Subramanian of the Manhattan federal court set the start date for the trial for May 5, 2025, on Thursday, October 10. The Bad Boy founder’s first court appearance was before Subramanian, who will be in charge of the case from now on, according to the Associated Press. Diddy’s mother, Janice Combs, and his children were also there.

During the meeting, Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson also answered the defense attorney’s claim that the video of Puff’s 2016 attack on ex-girlfriend Cassie shouldn’t be used as evidence because it was leaked to the media by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The lawyers for the disgraced executive said that this and other leaks by the government “have led to damaging, highly prejudicial publicity before trial that can only taint the jury pool and deprive Mr. Combs of his right to a fair trial.”

On the other hand, Johnson said that the defense was making “baseless” claims to try to “exclude a damning piece of evidence.”Judge Subramanian did not decide whether to allow the video to be shown or not, but he did tell Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, to draft an order that would tell “lawyers on both sides to comply with rules prohibiting them from publicly disclosing information that could taint a jury.” The judge agreed to sign the order without hesitation.

During the hearing, prosecutors also gave hints that the tense mogul’s legal problems might get worse because they are looking into the chance of filing a superseding indictment while their investigation is still going on.

Most likely, the start date of the trial would be pushed back because of the superseding indictment. It can include more charges, more suspects, or both.
