DaBaby reveals he and Lil Baby were planning a joint project: ‘I’m still open to it’

DaBaby said that he and Lil Baby had talked about making a record together in the past. The project hasn’t happened yet, but DaBaby is still interested in the idea.

In an interview with Bootleg Kev that came out on Thursday (October 10), the rapper from North Carolina talked about his failed project with the rapper from Atlanta.

Babe said, “We did talk about working together on a project for a while.” “We were both very busy at the time, so we never met up.” We had planned for me to go to Atlanta for a few days and for him to come up my way for a few days to get that stuff done.

“But the stars never lined up right for us to do the shit.” However, I’m certainly open to that.

He also said, “I love the chance to work with anyone who is doing their muthafucking thing and the best of the best.” When it comes to me, I feel like I almost always win.Even though they never worked together on a full project, the two Babies did work together on the 2019 song “Baby,” which made it to number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was on Quality Control Music’s Control the Streets, Volume 2 collection.

The two rappers have also worked together on full-length albums before. In 2018, Lil Baby and Gunna released Drip Harder together, and in 2021, Lil Durk and Gunna released The Voice of the Heroes together. In 2022, DaBaby and NBA YoungBoy released Better Than You together.

After a string of average mixtapes that didn’t do as well as his earlier work, DaBaby came back last month with How TF Is This a Mixtape?

The 14-track project, which he did all by himself, shows a more mature and reflective side of the “Suge” singer as he deals with some of the problems that have been plaguing his business lately.DaBaby raps on “Did It,” talking about the backlash he got for making homophobic comments at Rolling Loud Miami in 2021: “I did some wrong, okay, I admit it. They not as strong, so they not gon’ get it. Ain’t on what I’m on, so they not gon’ feel it. I even went out alone, I stand on the business.”

The rapper said on stage at the event, “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of those other deadly STDs, that’ll kill you in two to three weeks, then turn off your cellphone.”

“Ladies, if your pussy smells like water, shine your cell phone light on it.” Guys, put your cell phone lighter up if you’re not sucking dick in the parking lot.
