Lil Durk Postpones the Release of the Much Awaited Album “Deep Thoughts”

As of October 18, Lil Durk was on a huge wave of popularity. Before he released his new album, Deep Thoughts, the rapper put out a string of hit songs. The expected album’s release date has been changed, which is a shame. There hasn’t been an official statement yet, but there was a small change made to Deep Thoughts’ Apple Music page. As of October 18, the page says that the record has been pushed back by more than a month.

Fans with sharp eyes saw that Lil Durk’s new record will now be out on November 22. Fans are really upset about this delay, especially since the rapper has been talking up the release for such a long time. In December 2023, Lil Durk first talked about Deep Thoughts. Fans really like those songs, especially “Turn Up a Notch.” “Monitoring Me” and “Late Checkout,” the next two hit songs, have gotten less notice but have stayed very high quality. In particular, the first one is one of Durk’s hardest releases so far.

The slowdown in Deep Thoughts is the latest in a string of problems with the rollout. It looks like the album’s tracklist was shared on October 1. A lot of people saw it online, and some strange names, like Kai Cenat, Morgan Wallen, and Sabrina Carpenter, were mentioned as features. Fans started arguing about whether Lil Durk was giving up on his old sound and selling out. Thankfully, the trouble was solved. The rapper said it was true that the tracklist was fake. A real one hasn’t come out yet; the songs are the only three tracks that are known for sure.

Fans also think “Discontinuing Wockhardt” will make the cut. Both Adin Ross and DJ Akademiks gave hints about the Drake single. The second one even showed a sneak peek of the song’s music video. Drake was thought to have been taken out of the song because the 6 God’s name was nowhere to be found on the tracklist. But once it was shown to be fake, people felt good about the celebrity collaboration again. Let’s hope that Deep Thoughts doesn’t run into any more problems along the way.
