T.I. announces plans to retire after the Jingle Ball 2024 performance

It’s official: T.I. is a hero. In the 2000s, he had one of the best runs by a Southern rapper. Many people still think he should be the GOAT even though he quit ten years ago. And based on his most recent radio show, it looks like T.I. is finally open to the idea of moving on. The rapper talked about his future on 96.1 and said that he would no longer be putting on shows for his fans. In an incredibly honest performance, T.I. said that Jingle Ball 2024 will be his last time on stage.

Before T.I. made his statement, he wiped his eyes. “Thank you all,” he told the 96.1 hosts. “Giving me my last job offer. I no longer need the money, so I won’t be acting.” When the hosts heard what the rapper said, they were shocked and asked more questions. The person born Clifford Harris stuck to his plan. He said, “I don’t want to do it anymore.” “I don’t want people to pay me to hop around and sweat for they entertainment anymore.” There will be no more shows by T.I. after December 19 at State Farm Arena. Along with T-Pain, Sexyy Red, Tinashae, and Khalid, the rapper is set to appear at the Jingle Ball.

Fans shouldn’t be too surprised that T.I. has decided to stop playing. For a while now, the rapper has been hinting that he’s going to stop. He told Baller Alert that he was going to give up music for good in 2023 by putting out two records. “My last album is Kill the King, which will be, you know, it’s gon’ be edgy, energetic,” he said. “I’m going to make two albums in the end.” One will say “Kiss the King” and the other will say “Kill the King.” Both records haven’t come out yet, and it’s taken a while for them to come together, but T.I. seems serious.

The other reason T.I. won’t be singing live was brought up during the 96.1 interview. He really meant it when he told the hosts he didn’t have to anymore. MGA Entertainment was recently sued by T.I. and his wife and they won $71 million. The couple claimed that MGA had stolen the ideas and trademarks of OMG Girlz, a girl group they had started, and the company had to pay them. “I mean, wow,” T.I.P. told Rolling Stone after the order. “They did more than I thought they would.” They gave us more than they could have.
