FBG Duck’s mother files a wrongful πšπšŽπšŠπšπš‘ lawsuit against Lil Durk, King Von’s Estate, and others for her son’s πš–πšžπš›πšπšŽπš›

In a new lawsuit, rapper FBG Duck’s mother LaSheena Weekly and two people who were hurt in the shooting that killed him accuse Lil Durk, the estate of the late King Von, their OTF label, and other record companies and distributors of being responsible for his death and of glorifying and making money off of it.

A lawsuit was submitted on October 9 to Circuit Court in Cook County, Illinois. It includes a claim that Von put a $100,000 reward on Duck’s head, which was first mentioned in 2023. In the suit, Durk is also blamed for the alleged bounty because he signed Von to his OTF company.

The suit says, “Lil Durk…planned, authorized, and took part in the bounty on FBG Duck’s life and permitted the violent acts King Von committed when he knew or should have known of King Von’s violent behavior and the violent histories of other known gang members he was affiliated with.”

“Lil Durk knew well before 2020 that King Von looked out for FBG Duck, wanted to rob and kill in the music business, and wanted to build a brand of violence and reality rap by hurting FBG Duck and other people in real life.”

King Von was killed in Atlanta in November 2020, not long after Duck was killed in Chicago. Six guys were found guilty of killing FBG Duck in January 2024. All of them are also being sued.

The lawsuit says that OTF is “a hub for the O-Block criminal enterprise and street gang” and “the media outpost of the O-Block criminal organization.”

Empire is being sued because it is said to have known “that King Von had a grudge against FBG Duck, sought to rob and kill in the music industry, and consistently sought to build a brand of reality rap based on committing real acts of violence against FBG Duck and the public at large.”

“EMPIRE did some or all of the wrongdoings alleged herein knowing that killing FBG Duck or any other killing or criminal activity would increase streams, boost record sales, and increase a brand’s profits,” the lawsuit says. Alamo, Sony, and UMG/Interscope are all charged with the same things.

Lil Durk’s rep didn’t have anything to say about the claim.

One of FBG Duck’s real names was Carlton Weekly. He was shot and killed in August 2020 while shopping in the Gold Coast area of Chicago. Two shoppers, one who is a client in the new suit and the rapper’s girlfriend, were hurt in the attack.People who saw the shooting say that four guys got out of two cars that pulled up next to Duck and started shooting at the rapper. 16 times, he was hit.

The police said Duck, who was 26 years old at the time, was dead when he got to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Authorities said the rapper was hurt because of a fight between O Block and the Tookaville group of the Gangster Desciples, which Duck was said to be a part of.
