Joe Budden claims his mixtape discography is better than those of Lil Wayne and 50 Cent

There’s no question that mixtapes are still a great way to see how successful and mysterious a rapper is. Websites like DatPiff aren’t as popular as they used to be, but that time in hip-hop was magical. On those kinds of sites, a lot of artists were able to make great albums, and some of those albums are even thought of as classics. In terms of the second point, it was discussed on the most recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast. Overall, each person on the group had a different opinion on who had the best collection of mixtapes.

It was brought up that Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, Gucci Mane, Jeezy, Wiz Khalifa, and Fabolous are all well-known MCs. The first thing that was said, though, was that Joe Budden thought he was the best at these kinds of projects. The ex-rapper said, “Oh, that’s easy for me.” At first, no one paid much attention to the host. All of those other names were thrown around long before Budden’s name was used.

He seems like a proud person, so it’s not a big surprise that he would say something like that. It’s still a pretty hot take, though. Interestingly, though, one of the co-hosts had one that was just as bad as Budden’s. He said that he thinks Wayne’s mixtapes have too many misses, which means he isn’t really the G.O.A.T. in this case. At the very end of the video, Budden changed his mind a little and said that he couldn’t really put people in order of who has the most tapes. His name did make it into the best of the best, though, along with Jeezy, Fab, Wayne, and 50.
