Things are getting different for the rapper.
It’s no longer true that Tekashi 6ix9ine can make hits like he used to. When he worked with Nicki Minaj and Fetty Wap, the rapper used to be able to top the charts. It’s getting harder for 6ix9ine to get people interested in his music, though, as time goes on. He’s more of a star than an artist. This is why the rapper felt the need to change direction and sign with a new record label. TMZ reported that Tekashi 6ix9ine just signed with Kartel Music and wants to put out an album with artists from Mexico.

TMZ reported that Tekashi 6ix9ine just signed with Kartel Music and wants to put out an album with artists from Mexico.
The deal Tekashi 6ix9ine made could earn him $6 million. He wants to make an album that people who speak Spanish will like. Besides North and South America, he also wants to take it on tour in Mexico. TMZ looked at the deal and said the rapper will get $1 million to finish an album with ten songs. After that, he will get $250,000 for each show. When added up, this could lead to the $6 million stated above. A nice chunk of cash for someone who, as was already said, has been stuck on the hip hop lists. There were some conditions to the deal, though. While making the record, Tekashi 6ix9ine can’t get in trouble with the law or arrested.
This isn’t the first time Tekashi 6ix9ine has done something for his Latino fans. He put out a reggaeton record in 2023 called Leyenda Viva. Stars like Angel Dior, Grupo Firme, and Bulin 47 were seen at the event. In addition to the album, 6ix9ine worked with reggaeton star Anuel AA on his 2018 English-language debut album, Dummy Boy. He told his fans on Instagram Live that he has always thought about his friends all over the world. He slammed those who said he changed his mind to gain power. The rapper said he should be able to please a lot of different people.
“You know how many Spanish n**gas is born and raised,” he said. “All over New York City?” Do you mean to say that Spanish n**gas can’t eat? Do you only know how to make reggaeton when you speak Spanish? “N**ga, it’s also our culture.” Not many people have liked Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Spanish-language songs. Still, it hasn’t stopped him. He just put out a Spanish song that is mean to his ex-girlfriend. The next album he makes will be his most focused try at crossover success so far.
