Cardi B Responds To Critics Of Her Parenting Following Nightclub Run-In With Offset

Cardi B says she’s trying to stay away from postpartum sadness.

Cardi B replied to people on social media who don’t think she’s been spending enough time with her new baby girl since she went out with friends in New York City over the weekend. She was briefly at the same place as her ex-boyfriend Offset on Saturday night when she went to The Stafford Room, though TMZ says they came and went separately.

“I be with my child all day…”She said on Instagram Live, “I need to go out.” “I’m split up with my husband right now.” It’s going to drive me crazy to stay home and f*ck depress myself. That’s why I work, and on the weekends I hang out with my friends. Now, stop. Going through a f*cking postpartum depression again is something I don’t want to do.

On January of this year, Cardi filed for divorce from Offset, the second time since they got married in 2017. She just recently said that this time is for sure, though. “Slowly but surely, everyone has to go their own way,” she said on X Spaces recently, which Billboard caught on tape. “No, you’re not going to come home every day and find your dad here.’ That’s something my kids need to get used to.” Not quickly, but surely. Being an adult and getting used to a certain way of life without being with someone is kind of hard. I don’t want to talk about it because I don’t want to get upset.

However, it can be tough for your children to accept that their dad will not always be there for them after school. “Your dad isn’t coming to pick you up from school.”
