Due to allegations that it is a hoax, Kim Porter’s purported memoir, which described her relationship with Diddy, was taken down from Amazon.
The book, Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey For Justice, From the Other Side, became a bestseller after Puffy was arrested for sex trafficking and racketeering, and Amazon stated on Tuesday, October 1, that they had taken it off the shelves.
The massive retailer released a statement saying, “We have alerted the publisher of the issue we were made aware of regarding this product. At this time, our store does not have the book for sale.
Chris Todd, the book’s independent publisher, remained silent about Amazon’s decision to remove it.
Among the many obscene claims made about Diddy’s relationship with the late model were that the Bad Boy CEO physically abused Porter and had gay sex with other well-known people.
Todd later acknowledged that he wasn’t sure if the flash drive he had gotten from Porter was the source of the book’s inspiration, despite his initial claims to the contrary.
Al B. Sure, Porter’s former boyfriend, and her and Diddy’s kids, Christian, Jessie, D’Lila, and Quincy Combs (the last of whom has Sure as his biological father) had previously criticized the book.
“We feel the need to speak out because we have seen so many hurtful and false rumors circulating about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs’ relationship, as well as about our mom’s tragic passing,” the siblings wrote in an Instagram message.
It’s just not truthful to say that our mother wrote a book. That’s not what she said, and anyone who says they have a manuscript is lying. Furthermore, please be aware that no one speaking on behalf of our mother or her family is a true friend and does not have her best interests at heart.
It went on: “When our mother passed away, our lives were completely destroyed. After her death, nothing has been the same because she was our universe. Although it has been extremely challenging to accept how she could leave us too soon, the reason for her passing has long been known. There was not any intentional misconduct.
“We continue to deal with her loss on a daily basis, and we kindly ask that everyone accept our plea for peace. Grief is a lifetime process. We are extremely upset that the most devastating event of our lives has been turned into a show by the public.
A cease-and-desist order has also been issued by Al B. Sure to Todd and Amazon regarding the sale of the book, which he alleges contains “false and malicious statements.”
