The longstanding feud between Birdman and Lil Wayne appears to be on the verge of reconciliation.
On the morning of March 26, Stunna, as Birdman is often known, took to Instagram to share a photo capturing a moment of camaraderie between the two artists at a club.
The caption accompanying the post read, “Me and My Son,” along with the hashtag #YMCMBEAST.
This reunion of the Like Father, Like Son rappers occurred earlier in March at Club LIV in Miami (March 11), gaining widespread attention after a viral video showcased them chatting and enjoying each other’s company.
In recent months, the 49-year-old Birdman has made several public appearances to promote his Cash Money documentary on Apple Music.
During a February 20 appearance on the Wendy Williams Show, he made a promise to collaborate with Lil Wayne in the near future, stating, “You’ll see Wayne and me working again at some point in our lives.”
In an interview with Rap-Up, the Cash Money CEO expressed confidence that the highly anticipated Tha Carter V would finally see the light of day this year.
“This year, you’ll get that,” he declared assuredly. The origin of their dispute dates back to 2015 when Lil Wayne filed a $51 million lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money Records.
The legal action was prompted by multiple delayed payments and album delivery setbacks, with the New Orleans native seeking release from his contractual ties with the label.
