Lil Wayne: ‘The painting a fan gave me in my bedroom keeps me from having nightmares every time I remember my wax statue at the Hollywood Wax Museum’
Lil Wayne isn’t holding his feelings about his wax figure within.
The rapper, 41, who goes by Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. in real life, talked about his thoughts on his wax figure at the Hollywood Wax Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, recently.
I apologise, wax museum, but that is not who I am! He said on Monday on X, formerly known as Twitter, “You made an effort, though, and I appreciate that.”
Lil Wayne’s wax figure has been on display at the Hollywood Wax Museum since at least the summer of 2022, when a video of the statue was first posted on TikTоk and generated a lot of attention recently.
This comes after Dwayne Johnson disclosed on Instagram that he had contacted the Grévin Museum in Paris to change the skin tone of his own wax figure.
The 51-year-old actor ridiculed the wax figure’s paler skin tone in comparison to Johnson on Sunday by reposting a video of comedian James Andre Jefferson Jr. The figure has received criticism since the display’s October 16 opening.
The actor from Black Adam continued, saying, “I knew my boy @jamesjeffersonj had this Rock wax statue in his roasting crosshairs.” Do you feel the same as you did after the Little Mermaid vanished? At this, I laughed so hard 🏾.
