A Houston lawyer said that Diddy will soon be hit with a flood of new lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault. More than two dozen of the lawsuits are from people who say they were children at the time of the alleged incidents.
At a press conference on Tuesday, October 1, Tony Buzbee said that he was suing the troubled mogul and many other people and organizations in 120 different civil suits for a wide range of alleged offenses. He told HipHopDX through his lawyer Erica Wolff that he “denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors.”It was “typical M.O.” for the cases, Buzbee said. It is said that victims were called to a party and were forced to drink “90%” of the time. The lawyer said that the drink was intoxicating and that the woman would be raped and “passed around” by other partygoers while other people “enjoyed the show.” He said that the victim was then warned to keep quiet.
“I think you can pick up on a themeβsome kind of drug,” Buzbee said.He went on to say that the claimed assaults happened at events like afterparties, album release parties, and Diddy’s famous All-White parties.
The lawyers for the plaintiffs said there were an equal number of men and women. Twenty-five of them said they were minors at the time of the claimed acts, which happened between 1991 and this year, a span of 25 years.Assaults were said to have happened at tryouts, Buzbee said. He said that more than 55% of the claimants had already told the police or hospitals about what happened. He told them he has “texts, videos, and pictures” that back up some of what they said.
The lawyer said that Diddy would not be the only famous person in the suits.Buzbee didn’t name anyone by name, but he did say, “The names we’re going to name…are names that will shock you.”
“We will find the silent partners.” We will bring the supporters to light.Plaintiffs will include “corporate entities,” such as banks, hotels, and drug companies, along with other people, Buzbee said.
The lawyer said that the lawsuits would be filed within 30 days and that he would be willing to work with the federal authorities who are currently charging Diddy with sex trafficking and crime.”Anyone in charge who wants to come to us is welcome,” he said.
In response to the news conference, Diddy’s lawyer Erica Wolff put out a statement.
“Mr. Combs’ lawyers have made it clear that he can’t respond to every false accusation in what has turned into a careless media circus,” she wrote. βThat being said, Mr. Combs strongly and categorically rejects as false and slanderous any claims that he sexually abused anyone, even children. He is excited to show that he is innocent and clear himself in court, where the truth will be found based on facts, not guesses.
