Lil Uzi Vert faces a lawsuit from a production company for $500,000 in unpaid bills

Lil Uzι Vert Faces Lawsuit from Production Company Over $500,000 in Unpaid Bills

According to a lawsuit obtained by XXL, production company M99 Studios, LLC is suing Lil Uzι Vert for allegedly failing to pay over $500,000 in unpaid bills. The lawsuit, filed on Wednesday (June 12) in Atlanta, claims that the rapper, whose real nаme is Symere Bysil Woods, owes the Los Angeles-based company for services provided during his festival and tour performances over several years.

M99 Studios stated that their business relationship with Lil Uzι Vert began in 2017, but issues arose around 2019. The company alleged that Uzι’s credit card frequently declined while on tour, forcing them to cover all travel expenses for his tours and performances.

The lawsuit also names Uzι’s manager, Amina Diop, and his Georgia-based company, Uzιvert. M99 Studios claimed that Diop was aware of the financial issues and relied on them to provide interest-free loans, exploiting their goodwill and financial support to manage Uzι’s touring business.

Additionally, M99 Studios alleged they had to cover Uzι’s production expenses multiple times. The situation escalated in 2023 when Lil Uzι Vert reportedly stopped paying the invoices requested by M99 Studios.

Overall, M99 Studios is seeking $533,499.81 in unpaid fees plus statutory interest from Lil Uzι Vert for their services.
