Jimmy Fallon and DJ Khaled played in the first Cardigan Classic golf tournament, which took place on Nevada’s Lake Tahoe.
A funny four-hole charity tournament was held at Edgewood Tahoe Resort. There was one “breakfast ball” and one “mulligan,” which means “do-over.” The winner got a red sweater and $100,000 to give to a charity of their choice.
If you’re keeping track, Fallon and the organization SeriousFun won.
It was all part of the 35th American Century Championship. Miles Teller, Tony Romo, Roger Clemens, Travis and Jason Kelce, and Ray Romano, who just showed Architectural Digest his home golf course, did play.
Comic Nate Bargatze and NFL hero Jerry Rice were also there, as well as MLB star David Wells and NBA greats Ray Allen and Chandler Parsons.
Following his win, Fallon joked on “The Tonight Show” that he had dared the music star to a four-hole game, adding that he had never heard of DJ Khaled but had been a guest on the show before.Fallon said, “We had the most fun two people could have.” He also said that they played the 17th and 18th holes twice.
Fallon said that playing in front of thousands of people is “so much pressure you don’t even know it.” “You get so tense…” They must be very strong to do what they do.
Fallon said of one lucky shot, “I hit a tree with a golf ball, and it bounced off the tree and onto the green.” He also said that the game had to be put off because it started to rain.
