Despite Diddy’s recent incarceration, 50 Cent hasn’t stopped making fun of him, and now that the film he’s making about the troubled tycoon has a director has added even more fuel to the fire.
Variety announced on Wednesday, September 25, that Alexandria Stapleton has agreed to take the helm of the multi-episode documentary.
50 and Stapleton released a statement together that read, “This is a story with significant human impact.” Not simply the headlines or videos you’ve seen so far, but a complex story spanning decades is being told.
We are unwavering in our resolve to offer genuine and complex viewpoints and to provide a voice to the voiceless. Even while the accusations are unsettling, we implore everyone to keep in mind that hip-hop and its culture are much more than Sean Combs’ tale. Our goal is to make sure that the larger contributions of culture are not overshadowed by particular acts.
50 kept up his trolling on social media while the news was making the rounds. He posted a picture of a bottle of baby oil that had been dubbed “Diddy Oil” with the message, “Coming soon! LOL.
For the Diddy docuseries, 50 Cent and Netflix negotiated an agreement back in May.
G-Unit Film and Television Studios is producing the documentary, and TMZ claims that there was a competitive bidding process.
In addition to commenting on the news, 50 took aim at TMZ for using the wrong picture of him for their article.
“TMZ used this picture of me as a fаt boy because their doctor went to Tubi. It’s okay, guys, we’re all producing great TV; mine just so happens to be the best!” He posted something on Instagram. “NETFLIX prevails in the bidding wаr, but I’ll need more episodes if more victims come forward.”
After TMZ updated the image in their report, he later shared an update: “Okay, TMZ put up a 2024 photo sweetheart, let’s work! LOL.
50 has been making constant jokes about his opponent in the interim. The G-Unit boss posted a picture of himself and Drew Barrymore on Instagram last week, captioning the image with the words, “Here I am keeping good company with @thedrewbarrymoreshow and I don’t have 1,000 bottles of lubе at the house.”
Fif’s remark about the “lubе” alludes to information that was made public during a press conference and in a document issued during imprisonment, wherein federal investigators presented their conclusions.
Videos of Diddy’s “Freak Off” sessions were allegedly in the FBI’ possession. As stated in the indictment, Freak Offs were accused of producing “elaborate and produced sеx performances that COMBS arranged, directed, masturbated during, and often electronically recorded” involving prostitutes for hire. The government asserts that Diddy would coerce wоmen to engage by using “force, threats of force, and coercion.”
Furthermore, the government stated that “other evidence of Freak Offs, including over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and personal lubricant,” was found among the tangible evidence seized during raids (as well as searches of Diddy and “certain of his co-conspirators”).
