Los Angeles, CA – Khloe Kardashian couldn’t help but poke fun at her sister Kim Kardashian’s glamorous attire during her son Tatum’s second birthday party on Sunday.
The 40-year-old Good American founder, who shares daughter True (6) and son Tatum with Tristan Thompson, shared a video on Instagram showcasing Kim’s arrival in a gold gown that looked fit for an awards show.
“Wowee, the Golden Globe is here, ladies and gentlemen!” Khloe exclaimed as Kim made her entrance at the backyard party.
Kim, 43, defended her choice of outfit, explaining that she had called Khloe beforehand to ask whether she should dress “fancy” or wear “workout clothes.” The playful exchange took place with Kim’s six-year-old daughter Chicago by her side, who clung to her glamorous mother throughout the video.
Kim stunned in a figure-hugging gold dress that accentuated her trim waistline. The floor-length gown featured thin straps with a crisscross design at the center, adorned with a dark, round, stone medallion. She paired the chic ensemble with open-toe black heels and a small, square-shaped gold handbag. Her straight, raven-colored hair was parted down the middle, and she sported a full face of glowy matte makeup.
Little Chicago, dressed in a sky blue T-shirt, jean shorts, and white Adidas Sambas, accompanied her mother to the party.
To celebrate her nephew Tatum’s birthday, Kim shared a series of photos on her Instagram Stories, including images from Chicago’s birthday party in January. In one photo, she wore yellow patterned leggings and a black zip-up hoodie while holding Tatum on her hip. “Happy 2nd Birthday Tatum. My baby!! I love you so so so much!” she wrote.
In another affectionate snapshot of her and Tatum sharing a kiss, she captioned, “Auntie KiKi’s got you forever!!!” Khloe reshared some of Kim’s posts, adding, “Tatum has the best aunties in the world,” and “Tatum is so in love with you Auntie KiKi.”
The birthday celebration, themed “Two-a-saurus,” featured dinosaur decorations and was attended by family members. Khloe hosted the event in a white, sleeveless, corseted mini dress paired with large black sunglasses. Party planner Mindy Weiss helped transform Khloe’s $17M Hidden Hills mansion with life-size dinosaur statues and palm-shaped pool floats.
Later that day, Khloe shared a heartfelt post on Instagram to formally celebrate Tatum’s birthday. In a cute photo, Tatum wore dinosaur-themed pajamas while sitting on his smiling mother’s lap.
“How are you two years old already?!” Khloe wrote. “The expression, ‘the days are long, but the years are short,’ could not be any truer. I feel like we have had a lifetime together yet you are only two years old.
“I know we were destined to be together,” she continued. “I know we have had many moments together before we ever met. The comfort I find in your eyes confirms we’ve known one another before.
“My precious son, I know you were mine in another lifetime,” Khloe added. “I know this because of the way you look at me. The way we giggle when we stare at one another. The bond you have with your sister. The relationships you have with everyone in our family that was here before you. It’s as if you knew us all before. The insight you already have. The knowledge you possess. The way you know how to love. The way you communicate!! And you are only two years.
“I am so proud to be your mommy. So proud of the love and laughter we have in our house. So proud of your beautiful, gentle, polite, intelligent, loving, infectious spirit,” Khloe continued. “You light up every single room. There’s no denying that everyone smiles when they look at you! Especially True … she is so proud to call you hers, as am I.
“Happy birthday my sweet handsome boy! You are loved tremendously by this incredible tribe of ours!” Khloe concluded. “Always and forever, Mommy loves you.”
