Rapper Lil Baby expresses frustration when the public accuses him of wearing a fake watch

Lil Baby, a male rapper, voiced his frustration, demanding jewelry store Rafaello & Co. to explain when his Patek Philippe watch was pointed out by the public as fake. Subsequently, Lil Baby received an apology and compensation from the store that sold him the watch.

Earlier, many people criticized Lil Baby, alleging that he was wearing a counterfeit watch from the famous brand Patek Philippe. They compared Lil Baby’s $400,000 Patek Philippe watch with the authentic one. A jewelry verification website also confirmed that it was a counterfeit.

Differences such as the watch face with incorrect hour hands size and the brand logo were pointed out. Additionally, the dents on the edge of the accessory strap were highlighted between the two genuine and fake watches.

As soon as he learned of the situation, rapper Lil Baby posted on his personal page requesting jewelry store Rafaello & Co. to explain whether they sold him a counterfeit watch. He expressed surprise as he did not expect a reputable jewelry store to sell fake items to him at a high price compared to what is called fake. The Lil Baby watch purchased was priced at $400,000, cheaper than the original watch by about $620,000.

Previously, Rafaello & Co. had sold many items to celebrities such as J Balvin, Travis Scott, and A$AP Ferg… Therefore, many including Lil Baby trusted this store even though they sold at a lower price than the products on the market.

Shortly thereafter, Rafaello & Co. responded, admitting that they had sold a fake watch to Lil Baby and sent an apology to the male rapper. The apology from the representative reads as follows: “I personally want to apologize to Lil Baby for not fulfilling the responsibility to explain when selling him the Patek Philippe watch. We should have checked the watch after purchasing from the distributor. We are fully responsible for not doing our job properly. I never intentionally sold him or anyone else anything that is not 100% genuine.”

Rafaello & Co. refunded Lil Baby’s entire purchаse amount and sent an additional compensation of 4 diamond rings to him, and clarified that the counterfeit incident was unintentional. After sharing the incident on his personal page, rapper Lil Baby reminded: “From now on, Rafaello & Co. should not sell me and everyone else fake or any jewelry called fake. I stand on my reputation advising you to do the same. This is not a simple mistake when the amount that the buyer has to pay for the item is very large. The Patek Philippe brand should consider adding me to the special customer list. After experiencing fake items, I no longer trust jewelry stores outside anymore.”

Earlier, Lil Baby’s close friends and colleagues had warned that people should stop buying expensive jewelry items without clear appraisal. Many fakes are circulating outside and they are greatly inflated in price.
