Everything about Jada Pinkett Smith revolves on her wardrobe.

The Red Table Talk anchor made her red carpet debut on May 18 at The Los Angeles LGBT Center Gala, wearing a black Alaïa gown that she first wore in 2004 to the Hollywood Film Festival’s Hollywood Awards Gala, which she attended with husband Will Smith.

For maximum skin-baring, the pleated floor-length design featured side cutouts and a thigh-high slit. For an extra bit of edge, the dress also has spaghetti straps and a metal hardware belt.

The 52-year-old Pinkett Smith donned the garment nearly exactly in the same manner as she did twenty years prior.

She simply changed the styling by adding a silver bangle, a pair of striking earrings, and modest stilettos instead of the lace-up ones she had on earlier. 

Later, the Girls Trip actress posted a picture of the throwback outfit on Instagram.

Pinkett Smith has previously reached into her own closet to pull off a red carpet appearance.

She went shopping in her own closet and chose a vintage navy gown with a high neck and voluminous skirt for her date night with the I Am Legend actor back in 2022.

“It’s something I purchased quite some time ago,” Jada admitted to Laverne Cox during an episode of E!’s Live from the Red Carpet. “I had it in the closet and I was like, ya know what, I think girl is ready for the SAG Awards.”

Following her appearances at the 2024 Met Gala with her daughter Willow Smith and son Jaden Smith, Pinkett Smith enjoyed a glamorous mom night out this past weekend. The twins walked the renowned red carpet together for the second time on May 6. 

The couple wore complementary outfits in their version of the “The Garden of Time” dress code and the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” theme.

While Willow, 23, donned a blazer minidress and a braided updo influenced by Mangbetu tribe hairstyles, Jaden, 25, chose a textured white Thom Browne jacket and skirt for the occasion. 

Pinkett Smith and Will haven’t attended the star-studded event yet, but that didn’t stop them from gushing about their kids on Instagram. “The two,” she penned.
