Crowded Travis Scott concert in Brazil causes another earthquake

Travis Scott and light shows go together like peanut butter and jelly. If the show does not literally shake the earth, it is not one of his. We say this because Travis Scott has produced another earthquake, according to HipHopDX and Complex. On Wednesday, La Flame performed in São Paulo, Brazil, a city experiencing high activity. Over the previous week or two, The Weeknd has played some of his upcoming album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, while the NFL held its first game in the famed location.

Clearly, all of the enthusiasm and energy flowed over to Scott’s event. As seen here (in stunning overhead shots), it appears to be sold out. Around 46,000 people were in attendance, and when you have someone like him performing rager after rager, things are bound to get crazy. Unsurprisingly, they did, as local news stations reported visible shaking.

If you recall, a similar event occurred in Rome last summer, around the publication of UTOPIA. He arrived at the Circus Maximus stadium, where a 1.3 magnitude earthquake occurred. With all of the excitement around his fourth studio album, Scott recognizes that fans are “FE!N[ing]” for more, which is why he’s back in album mode once more. At this time, we can only assume that additional seismic activity is on the way.
