Money Man recently sat down with Billboard on Threads to discuss various aspects of his career, including his collaborations with Lil Baby, paying tribute to Kobe Bryant, and his aspirations to venture into pop and Afrobeats music.

 

 

Despite being associated with Atlanta, Money Man revealed that his roots trаce back to The Bronx. He emphasized how his music is influenced by both Atlanta and East Coast sounds, reflecting a mix of both cities in his DNA.

 

One of Money Man’s standout tracks, “24,” received a remix featuring Lil Baby, where they paid homage to Kobe Bryant. Money Man explained that the tribute to the late Lakers legend was a spontaneous addition suggested by Ghazi Shami, the founder of EMPIRE.

While Money Man has collaborated with several notable rappers, including Larry June and DaBaby, he expressed interest in exploring collaborations in the pop and Afrobeats genres. He remаins open to working with artists from different musical backgrounds, eager to diversify his portfolio.

With a prolific track record spanning back to 2016, Money Man has released over a dozen mixtapes, including his latest project, “Red Eye,” in 2023. He attributes his consistency to living an exciting life and constantly absorbing new experiences, aiming to create music that resonates with his diverse audience.

Money Man kicked off 2024 with the release of “Servin Myself,” showcasing his ongoing commitment to delivering fresh and relatable music to his fans.
