Drake raps about quitting lean in Lil Durk’s new collaborationβ€”a potential hit that might πšœπšžπš›πš™πš›πš’πšœπšŽ some fans with its lyrics

Nowadays, Adin Ross is Funkmaster Flex for Generation Z. Though it’s true, some fans may find their stomachs turned upside down reading that. Rappers now use Ross (and fellow streamer Kai Cenat) as their means of teasing fresh music. The most famous rapper in the world, Drake leaked a number of songs to Ross and Kai Cenat during last year. September 4 was the most recent example of this. Played a bit of an unreleased Drake and Lil Durk song called “Discontinuing Wockhardt.” Though its lyrics could surprise some listeners, it seems like a possible hit.

Lil Durk raps first in the bit, but Drake steals the show in several ways. When he starts on the track, Adin Ross even remarked on his melodic flow, which is so appealing. More than the flow or melody though, “Discontinuing Wockhardt” will draw interest for Drake’s bars. Starting his verse, the rapper says he’s quitting lean. “Discontining Wockhardt,” he says. “But still do I pop now.” Coughs are brought under control with a Promethazine and codeine mix called Wockhardt. At least that’s expected of it. Lean also comes from it. Former friend Lil Yachty of Drake’s used the brand as inspiration for his 2022 song “Wock”.

One should give thought to the timing of the bit. Drake has drew criticism from supporters for a video showing him apparently drinking lean around his son Adonis. Seen from Drake’s point of view, the footage shows him getting in a car with what appears to be a cup of lean. The rapper’s apparently callous attitude toward his youngster appalled his fans. He also attracted criticism for drinking such a strong mix around a young child initially.

Unlike other rappers, Drake hasn’t adopted lean as part of his image. Future would be the most famous person basing their tone and general mood after the drink. He has, however, acknowledged drinking it going back to 2011. Drake talked candidly about the substances he took throughout his ascent to popularity in an interview with The Guardian. “Have I ever drank codeine? Sure, of course,” he informed the outlet. Have I used cannabis? Sure. Does one drink wine? yes. But am I too lazy? Not one. I am not a wild man. I do it within reasonable moderation. Sounds like lean have been removed from rotation, though, if the new song is to be taken as credible.
