Rick Ross Explains Why He Got Into Drake’s Rap Incident: ‘There Was No Conspiracy’

Several musicians attacked Drake earlier this year when Kendrick Lamar started the controversy, but Rick Ross claims there was no bigger plot at work.

At Shannon Sharpe and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson’s Nightcap Summer Sessions: LIVE from Houston program on Sunday, August 25, Ross was one of the few guests. The Florida native was questioned about the intense conflict that featured Future, Metro Boomin, A$AP Rocky, The Weeknd, and K.dot in addition to him when he was performing; Drizzy referred to this conflict as a “20-v-1” in his song “Push Ups.”

“I thought everyone was cool,” Sharpe enquired.

“I will tell the truth. Ross stated plainly, “On some rap shit, it was no conspiracies.” “I’m going to jump off the porch because Rozay name was mentioned.” I work in that capacity. I decided to have some fun and leap from the porch, and that’s exactly what I did. I enjoyed myself a little.

We Still Don’t Trust You, Future and Metro’s follow-up to their dissed Drake song We Don’t Trust You, was equally heavy.

Rocky seems to be rapping on “Show of Hands” about dating Drake’s baby mother Sophie Brussaux prior to her giving birth to their kid, Adonis.

“N-ggas in their feelings over women, what, you hurt or something?/ N-ggas swear they bitch the baddest, I just bagged the worst one” “Flacco hit it first, son. I smashed before you birthed,” he spits.

He also seems to be making fun of Drake’s album For All the Dogs, saying things like, “It’s always us, never them/ Heard you dropped your latest shit/Funny how it just came and went (Ha ha ha)” and “Still don’t trust you.”

It seems like Drake had been teasing the Harlem rapper about his connection to Rihanna, with whom Drizzy was formerly reported to have had an affair.

He rapped, “I ain’t Pretty Flacko, bitch, this shit get really Rocky/ Damn, what?” on the For All the Dogs song “Another Late Night.” I did him dirty in the Wraith.

The Weeknd, who featured on We Still Don’t Trust You multiple times, also seems to be venting his frustration on his ex-friend in the song “All to Myself.”

In the midst of all the internet drama, Ross really came up with the moniker “BBL Drizzy” and took pleasure in making fun of the OVO rapper. Later, at a Toronto show, he was jumped by Drake supporters, but he didn’t seem to mind.

yet, things appear to have calmed down recently; yet, it is said that Drake intends to rekindle his rivalry with Kendrick.
