Rick Ross Explains Why He Responded To Drake, Not The Game

A few weeks ago, Rick Ross talked to Shannon Sharpe and opened up.

Rick Ross joined the 20 Vs. 1 Drake beef that went popular this summer and made fun of the Toronto singer on “Champagne Moments.” Soon after, though, his taunting seemed to fail when he was attacked in Vancouver for playing Kendrick’s diss track “Not Like Us” by Drake at a crowd. This week, he talked about the fight with Shannon Sharpe on Nightcap Summer Sessions from Houston. This made it clear why he chose to answer in the first place.

“On some rap sh*t it was no conspiracies,” he said. “Rozay, your name was called. I’m going to jump off the porch.” That’s what I do… When I said, “I’m going to jump off the porch and have some fun,” I meant it. Ross then talked about how he decides whether to answer, which seemed to be a reference to The Game.

“Freeway’s Revenge,” The Game’s mean diss track about Ross, came out in May. It criticized him for his time as a jail officer, his lifestyle choices, and a lot more. Ross never replied, except for some sketchy Instagram Stories, but he said this was a reaction in and of itself. This is what Ross said during the interview: “Whether I respond or not depends on whether I have something to gain from it.” “Not responding is a response when you a boss,” he said.
