Rod Wave marked his upcoming 26th birthday over the weekend by putting on a concert near his home in St. Petersburg, Florida, with Lil Durk, 42 Dugg, and other artists.
The show took place at Tampa’s Amelia Arena on August 24 and was first called “Rod Wave & Friends Birthday Celebration Concert II.”Those acts, along with Fridayy, YTB Fatt, and Lil Poppa, joined the street singer on stage throughout the night. A post from a fan on X (which used to be Twitter) said that the largest group of fans was about 21,000.

The Florida artist wrote on his Instagram Stories in June that making his next body of work did cause him a lot of “hurt.”
He wrote, “This fuckin project hurt so bad bra.” “But I’m going to give it to you all.”
He also gave hints that the songs, tour plans, and merchandise would be released soon.Rod Wave’s last record, Nostalgia, came out in September of last year. It had guest appearances by 21 Savage, Wet, and Sadie Jean.
The record got 137,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, which put it at the top of the Billboard 200 chart.
