Kim Kardashian’s Lavish $60M Mansion: A Post-Divorce Haven for Her and Their 4 Children, Courtesy of Kanye West!
In April 2018, Kanye West shared pictures of their Hidden Hills home on Twitter, which caused Kim Kardashian to feel upset.
“Hey there, love. Remember, we agreed not to share our home on social media! Can we now shoot KUWTK scenes at home?” she tweeted, later revealing that her initial post was just a playful prank.
During April 2018, Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian’s mother, also tweeted that the house was valued at $60 million, despite the couple purchasing it in 2014 for $20 million. However, despite Jenner’s statements, Kim acquired the house and its contents from Kanye for $23 million following their divorce. This is now the residence for her and their four children—North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
Subsequent to Kanye’s tweet in 2018, Kim has displayed the property more prominently. Her collection of the finest snapshots from her $60 million family abode is showcased here.
When asked about her home, Kim referred to it as a “minimalist monastery,” drawing inspiration from monastic living spaces for monks and nuns. The decor and architecture of the property were influenced by Kanye and Belgian designer and antiquarian Axel Vervoordt, who collaborated on its design.
According to People magazine, the couple acquired the $20 million mansion in December 2014, shortly after their marriage. Several years later, they undertook renovations, and in April 2018, Kris Jenner declared its worth as $60 million. Quite impressive, right?
Despite having four young children—North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm West—Kim opted for a house adorned in light colors. Nevertheless, she remains vigilant about keeping it clean. “I dash around the house with towels,” confessed the founder of Skims to Architectural Digest in January 2018.
“Take a deep breath and tell yourself, ‘Alright, it’s bound to happen. We opted for lighter shades,” Kim added, explaining her preference for the bright aesthetic. “Our previous house, from which we recently moved, was predominantly gray, providing a valuable test as we knew we were transitioning into a brighter space.”
Don’t fret! The mansion features a playroom designed with children in mind.
In the divorce settlement with Kanye, Kim managed to retain ownership of her cherished mansion. In March 2022, a judge granted her a “bifurcated divorce,” as the former couple continues to work through custody and financial matters. Kim has since taken viewers on virtual tours of her property, showcasing her expansive backyard, fitness room, and opulent collection of automobiles.
