50 Cent shared a story from NewsNation on Instagram on Monday that said Diddy was sued by a member of a drug gang because he refused to traffic minors. The news source said that Alfredo P. Gonzalez, who said he was a member of the Sinaloa drug cartel, tried to sue Diddy and Bad Boy Entertainment for allegedly hurting his image with drug business contacts in New York. He asked for $666,000 in damages, but Chief U.S. District Judge Laura Taylor Swain quickly threw out the case.
50 wrote under a screenshot of the title, “Ok, I’ve seen it all. What the heck is going on here?” In the comments, fans made jokes about how much they hate Diddy from the 1950s. “50 hate on almost every black man that has more money than him (mayweather, jay-z, diddy, rick Ross) jealous fella,” a top reply says. Another user was confused about the case. “Can they really sue if it’s against the law?” Isn’t that them lying about themselves? “I don’t understand,” they said.
In Gonzalez’s case, the judge said that Swain’s decision was not legally sound because Gonzalez’s injuries were caused by illegal actions and are not protected by the law. She also didn’t believe the claims because they didn’t have “an arguable basis either in law or in fact.” He even asked her to change the case, but she said it was already too late.
