Lil Wayne wants to give money to the police officer who saved his life when he was 12 years old

Lil Wayne has offered to give the police officer who helped him when he shot himself 12 years ago some money to help him out.

The offer comes after the rapper tried to kill himself as a child and was caught by cops. Wayne recently said in an interview that Robert Hoobler was the only police officer who cared about his well-being.

Now, Hoobler has told TMZ that Wayne told him he would help him with anything after they ran into each other at a show in New Orleans.

Hoobler said he hasn’t taken up the offer yet, but he has talked with the rapper’s team about becoming an office assistant for them.

Wayne had talked about Hoobler in his song “London Roads,” where he said he thought the police officer had died.

Wayne talked in depth about his mental health problems earlier this week on the YouTube show Uncomfortable Conversations.

He told everyone that he had tried to kill himself when he was 12 years old and encouraged others to do the same.

“I hope that by being open, I can help anyone else who is dealing with mental health issues,” he said.
