With Travis Scott and Ty Dolla $ign, Kanye West Officially Releases Long Lost “CAN U BE”

On YEEZY.com, all five of the “VULTURES 2” deluxe choices are gone.

Even though four digital special versions of VULTURES 2 were already on YEEZY.com, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign still had one more surprise planned. So far in this trilogy, ¥$ have mostly been giving fans old songs from previous records. The second part, though, lives up to that even more. Their three new songs, “GUN TO MY HEAD” with Kid Cudi, “DRUNK” with Peso Pluma and Kodak Black, and “BELIEVER” came out last night. But Kanye West wanted to give the public release of “CAN U BE” to his most loyal fans as a gift.

This song is probably the most-wanted of the bunch because it was made during the sessions for “The Life Of Pablo.” “Pressure” is the old name for it. You can hear it on Soundcloud and YouTube. There is now an extra line from Ty Dolla $ign in this updated version, which is about 2:30 minutes long. The famous flip of Marvin Gaye and Diana Ross’s “Stop, Look, Listen (to Your Heart)” is on the track, which may be another reason why it was so popular.

As always, Genius has some really cool facts about “CAN U BE.” They write that Kanye West didn’t like this song very much in the notes area. He stopped working on it in 2017 because of this. That being said, his fans have loved this record ever since it was first leaked. This brings us to the next interesting fact. People who were leaking thought this track was so valuable that they tried to sell it. It was interesting that buyers wouldn’t start to participate for a long time. At some point, it was said to have been sold for $25,000, and the files were made public in May of this year. Finally, “CAN U BE” has become a fan name because Ye sings the song over and over.
