Willow Smith reveals ‘painful’ self-esteem issues: ‘I’m not really that talented…’

Willow Smith is concerned about “not being enough” in this world.

The 23-year-old singer, who has been putting out music for more than ten years, is the daughter of Hollywood stars Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith. However, she has acknowledged that she is a perfectionist and frequently feels that she is “not really that talented”.

“I think I just have childhood patterns that I never got out of until now,” she stated in an interview with Interview magazine. But now is the moment to put in the emotional labor necessary to clear out those ingrained mental habits from my early years.”I’m a failure if anything isn’t quite perfect; I have to be flawless all the time.

Or maybe I’m not that talented, in which case, why the f*** am I even bother? Everything is related to my sense of value. The fear of not being good enough is a common one.

The “Whip My Hair” hitmaker finds it difficult to perceive herself through the eyes of others and believes that her problems stem from a deep-seated problem, but her ultimate goal in life is to use her job to “serve” the world.

“We don’t always see ourselves the way others do,” the speaker stated. And while that can occasionally be a blessing, it might also occasionally be the complete reverse. And even if I don’t end up being a musician, I still want to work on loving myself.”It’s really crazy. Undoubtedly, it’s a compulsion. It is really painful and comes from a very deep place within of me. It seems really natural. I’m not sure how that operates. This world is seriously so full of pain that it is f****** ludicrous. I will always want to find a way to contribute. Since music is an act of service in my opinion.
