Reacting to a viral lookalike, Drake references Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us”

Upon seeing his double, Drizzy’s reaction was somewhat peculiar.Although the online battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar has subsided for the time being, it is clear that it is still very much on fans’ minds. Thankfully, Drizzy seemed to have retained the ability to make light of the disaster, despite how chaotic things became. One example is the Toronto rapper’s earlier today Instagram Story post, in which he shared a video of a Drake impersonator singing “Hotline Bling.”

Fans were quick to notice Drake’s caption and enjoy the chaotic film for understandable reasons. “Sometimes you gotta pop out,” he wrote uncomplicatedly. This is obviously a line from Kendrick Lamar’s smash hit “Not Like Us,” in which the rapper severely criticizes Drake.

After the song became one of the most popular in the whole lyrical fight, Kendrick named his “Pop Out” performance in Los Angeles after it, which featured Dr. Dre, Ty Dolla Sign, and others. An accompanying music video dropped earlier this month, and it was no surprise that it quickly amassed millions of views. It is well-known for the bars that defame Drake as a predator. Whatever the case may be, Drizzy seemed unconcerned about shouting it out.

Ultimately, Drake seemed determined to put this disaster behind him and return to his previous activities. He just collaborated with Gordo on two songs from his debut album, “Sideways” and “Healing.” Fans were left with a sense of optimism for what was to come, as if Drizzy had found his footing again, thanks to the features. “Super Soak,” a collaboration with Lil Yachty, is also in the works, and Kai Cenat got a sneak peek at it last week. Do you agree with Drake’s response to the performance of his viral impersonator? Also, what about when he referenced Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us”?
