EXCLUSIVE ‘We’re naturally attracted to each other’: Snoop Dogg discloses his 30-year connection with David Beckham and his birthday gift to wannabe singer Cruz

Some might find it surprising, but Snoop Dogg insists that his unlikely friendship with the ‘born winner’ David Beckham spans more than three decades.

The veteran rapper, known for his affinity for cannabis, was joined by the former Manchester United footballer as his I Wanna Thank Me tour hit its latest UK show at London’s O2 Arena.

Snoop, aged 51, attributes their bond to their shared experiences, tracing back to his notorious Death Row Records days and Beckham’s rise as one of England’s most promising football talents.

In an interview with MailOnline at the Berlin launch of his new collaboration with online crypto casino Roobet, Snoop explained, “We’ve been friends since the early nineties. We love the same things. We love to win. We love to work hard.

We’re family men, and people love us. We’re naturally attracted to each other. We built the friendship years and years ago. He created a family, and I created a family.”

Their friendship has endured over the years, with notable moments such as Beckham’s appearance on Snoop’s former reality show Father Hood in 2007. The episode featured the duo’s attempt to introduce soccer to Snoop’s children, showcasing the depth of their connection.

Reflecting on their journey, Snoop recalled, “When I had my show Father Hood on the E! Channel, he came on and did some things with my kids about his football. His babies were real little babies then, but when he came to see me the other day, he brought his babies with him and they’re grown now.”

The recent reunion also provided Snoop with an opportunity to offer valuable advice to Cruz, Beckham’s son who recently turned 18 and aspires to a career in music. “I gave him some real good advice,” Snoop shared. “Then I gave him a Death Row chain and told him to own it.”As a father of four and now a grandfather, Snoop’s perspective on life has evolved. Becoming a grandfather in 2015 marked a turning point, prompting him to be more mindful of his lifestyle choices. “Being a grandfather has changed me in multiple ways,” he explained. “The main way is being concerned with how I live, how I move, the kind of people I’m associated with because I want to see my grandkids grow old.”
