Lil Durk, fresh off the release of his recent album Almost Healed, is already contemplating new musical endeavors. While hinting at a potential sequel for his 2021 collaborative album Voice of the Heroes with Lil Baby, the Chicago artist took to Twitter on Thursday, June 8, to express his desire for a joint project with Morgan Wallen.

 

 

 

“Me and Morgan need to do an album together, be the 1st to do it, let’s do it @MorganWallen,” Durk tweeted. This announcement follows Durk’s successful debut at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with Almost Healed, featuring a notable collaboration with Wallen titled “Stand by Me.” This track marks their second partnership, following their 2021 record “Broadway Girls,” which peaked at No. 14 on the Hоt 100 and secured a No. 1 spot on the Hоt R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

 

 

In a previous TMZ interview in 2022, Lil Durk supported Morgan Wallen amid controversy surrounding a video where the country star used a racial slur. Durk asserted, “He ain’t no racist. That’s my boy. We had a long talk. He had his public situation. I vouch for him and he good. He ain’t canceled, I talked to him. When I sаy you ain’t canceled, you ain’t canceled.”

Last month, Durk shared a photo on Instagram showing him and Wallen fishing, emphasizing their strong bond with the caption: “Family is family can’t nothing change that p.s I’m done wit fish.” This public display of camaraderie further underscores their friendship beyond the realm of music.
