More and more women are getting into hip-hop, and when they do, they’re quick to support one another. Rap superstar Cardi B recently praised 22-year-old New York City artist Scar Lip. An additional shoutout came from Cardi, who informed her fans that she “really [wants] her to make it.” She continued by hinting at a possible partnership between herself and the newcomer, who has already collaborated with Snoop Dogg. Additionally, earlier this year, Latto came clean about her policy of not charging other female artists for features. She spoke to Billboard on how she uses her power to help others on her journey to success. It was also announced yesterday that female MC GloRilla has six BET Award nominations this year. Many awards have nominated her, including Album of the Year, Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Best New Artist, and many more.
Not long ago, Lil Durk was quite outspoken on many social media platforms. His return to Instagram earlier this week was to inform fans of some as-yet-unconfirmed plans. On his Instagram Story, he expressed his desire to soon host a massive prayer gathering in Chicago for Muslims, with the goal of uniting everyone as one, without regard for pride. “Then after get problems off my chest help the petty beef go away private location,” he said, continuing his assertion that he wants to squash “petty beef.”
Lil Durk recently hinted at a possible partnership with country artist Morgan Wallen. On Instagram, he said, “[First] to do it.” He then went on to suggest that he and Morgan record an album together. “Everything we do we win,” he continued, “so we might as well record a country album.” There was a prior collaboration between Durk and Wallen on the Almost Healed song “Stand By Me.”
