Doodie Lo gushed over Lil Durk on Twitter yesterday (July 19). During his June visit to a rehabilitation center, the rapper disclosed that a close friend and colleague had footed the substantial expense. “Smurk paid 110k for me to go to rehab last month sh*t saved my life fr,” wrote Doodie Lo. Although the specific reason for the artist’s therapy remains unknown, his supporters are relieved that he is improving.
It was reported earlier this year that Doodie Lo prevailed in a defamation case against FTN Bae, his ex-partner. Rapper Bae has denied allegations that he sexually molested her son. “Some people are innocent of false accusations, and my ultimate goal is to bring awareness to that,” he stated. On social media, Doodie Lo reveled in the victory, asserting that he would receive $11 million. But by March’s end, the verdict had been overturned, and news had spread that FTN Bae would be given a fresh trial. When exactly the trial will be held is a mystery.
The “Sorry For The Drought” tour dates that Lil Durk had planned to perform were recently postponed. Earlier this month, he was admitted to the hospital due to severe fatigue and dehydration. He was reportedly admitted after visiting the hospital merely for precautionary reasons. Based on the cancellations, it seems that the situation is more bad than first thought. Despite delaying the remainder of the tour, he promised fans that his performances in Chicago on August 11 and 12 will still go forward as planned.
“I regret to inform you that I must cancel my headlining performance at Rolling Loud due to the fact that I am still awaiting full clearance from my doctors to travel and perform again,” he stated earlier this week. I am excited about my two homecoming gigs in Chicago on the 11th and 12th, but for now I am just going to relax at home. I will soon announce new dates for the remainder of the country. So far, so good.
