Lil Durk describes Beyonce as his dream collaboration following his first Grammy win

As a joke, Durk said he’d be back at the Grammys if they worked together. For Lil Durk, he has continued to achieve new heights in his rap music career, which has been going strong for quite some time. Working with J. Cole on last year’s smash song “All My Life” catapulted him to career-defining status. With approximately 300 million listens on Spotify, the song has reached a peak of #2 on the Hot 100 and was included in the year-end Hot 100. On Sunday, the song won Best Melodic Rap Performance, giving Durk his first Grammy.

After the victory, he spoke about a lot of things in an interview with Billboard. Durk was asked, among other things, about his ideal collaborator. Apparently still thinking about his first Grammy, he considered Beyoncé, the show’s most decorated artist. It’s just a handful, but I really must see Beyoncé perform live. I had to. So, I’ll be returning, he joked. While Beyoncé did not receive any new Grammy nominations this year, she set a new record last year by winning four, bringing her total to 32. However, Lil Durk will now be performing on tour dates in 2024 alongside J. Cole.

Durk hinted at yet another intriguing option during his Grammy interview. He playfully mentioned the idea of collaborating with country singer Morgan Wallen on a whole album. This is the third time the two have worked together. Their collaborations began with Wallen’s “Broadway Girls” and continued with Durk’s “Stand By Me.” Do you agree with Lil Durk that Beyonce is his ideal collaboration partner?
