Lil Durk Teams Up with AWAL to Relaunch OTF
Chicago rapper Lil Durk has joined forces with AWAL to revitalize his label venture, OTF (Only the Family).
Taking the helm as CEO of OTF, Lil Durk is supported by COO Cedrick “SB” Earsery, who will collaborate with AWAL CEO Lonny Olinick, President Pete Giberga, SVP/Head of Urban Music Norva Denton, and AWAL’s A&R and marketing teams to nurture and expand the company’s growing roster.
To mark this milestone, the first single under the renewed partnership, “GTA” by DJ Bandz featuring Rоb 49, Skilla Baby, and Fivio Foreign, is set for release on Friday, May 11th.
Established in 2012 by Lil Durk (born Durk Banks), the late Dontay “Dthang” Banks, Earsery, and Uchenna “Chino” Agina, OTF emerged following the success of Lil Durk’s breakout Һit, “Dis Aint What You Want.” The label has also supported the careers of artists like the late King Von, among others. In 2020, Lil Durk and OTF launched the Neighborhood Heroes Foundation to drive positive change in underserved communities.
In a light-hearted moment captured in a photo, Lil Durk, Earsery, Olinick, Denton, and AWAL’s Cory Walker share a laugh, with copies of HITS magazine casually scattered on the table nearby—perhaps soon to be repurposed as makeshift fly swatters.
