On Father’s Day, Lil Durk shared that he’s “happy now” while enjoying time with his kids.

The rapper from Chicago posted a photo of himself and his family of ten children to social media on Monday, June 17th.”Please remove the sad Father’s Day song from my library. I am now happy,” he wrote.

As an expression of his disapproval of the annual celebration, Durk mentioned removing the 2022 track “Unhappy Father’s Day” off his 7220 album.Lil Durk admits in “Unhappy Father’s Fay” that he doesn’t spend nearly enough time with his kids.

He raps, “Father’s Day comes around, I swear to you it feels the worstest.” He goes on to explain that when he doesn’t speak to his dad for a few days, it becomes a burden, and that he pretends everything is well while, in reality, he’s hurting.

The worst part is that they keep asking him for his time and not trying to see any evidence; after I’ve sent them off so many times, they started telling me to sell it; and on Father’s Day, he says, “I don’t feel like a father.”

“Tell ’em I’m sorry, forgive me/ I’m tryna be they daddy,” he sings with remorse in the chorus.
